I am looking for a woman in her mid 20s to 40ish for friendship, fun and ultimately, a relationship. Someone I can spend time with, learn from, befriend and love; to feel the butterflies at the thought of seeing her and the want to make her soup when she is sick and in ugly sweats and a robe; ultimately to find my earthbound angel; the other part of my soul.

About me (buckle in, this will be longer than most but worth it for the right person) I am in my mid 40s but often believed to be about 10 years younger by appearance. I am 5' 9" with a slim build, have dark blond hair, green eyes, a goatee and am generally described as cute; the boy next door. I have a beautiful, funny, smart and very curious little 3 year old boy I absolutely adore. My son is currently the center of my earthly universe but I'd like to share and expand that universe with the right person, so someone who likes/loves children is a must.

It is said that I am a nice guy but do not mistake my being nice as weakness. I am a typical Scorpio with great passions that can run from one end of the spectrum to the other. I write and believe I have a good sense of humor which tends to be a bit dry and sarcastic with a quick and rapierish wit. I am very strong willed and will fight for what matters to me (where to eat or what movie to see aren’t usually among them and I often defer on these). I often come across at first as being reserved, shy, or quiet but am really a warm person and when engaged in the right way or am comfortable can talk for hours about anything or nothing. I am very open about my life; there is nothing I won’t talk about. Outwardly, though I tend to look rather reserved and conservative, like that old, dusty leather bound book sitting on the shelf which may seem stoic and uninteresting on the outside, there might just be a grand adventure on the inside waiting to take you away if you dare to look past the cover.

I have a wide range of interests would like someone who can broaden and share in them. I enjoy the arts and sports; classic rock as well as classical music. I also like the outdoors and can at least find my way around in the kitchen. I volunteer most Wed/Thurs evenings and enjoy outings but tend to be a bit of a homebody. I like kissing (a first kiss can tell you much) and am really into touch.

My ideal woman: Someone who is grounded and can complement me. I can describe what I find attractive physically but real attraction and chemistry seem almost indefinable; to come from within and from my own experience may not always fit the picture we created at some point in our lives of a particular height, body type or image. It’s not just physical, there seems to be an air about the person that can be seen and felt; it’s more about a deeper connection. I find that I am either attracted to someone or I am not.

However, let's face it, physical attraction is important (and goes both ways); it’s usually what 95% of us or better see first in a perspective partner and while I want to look at my partner and think she is beautiful, after the first 10 minutes there had better be something more to hold an interest. I prefer someone who is under 5' 8" tall and weight proportionate (but a little extra weight, especially in the right places can be very sexy). Mostly, I want someone who has a sense of who they are and what they want. The right woman could be given my heart in a moment.

Be healthy in spirit, mind and body, a woman in public and not afraid to not be at times in others...Someone I can tell my secrets to and have you be willing to do the same. You should be someone who expects and can handle the truth, someone who is willing to look deeper than the obvious, willing to try new things, wants to be an equal, yet comfortable in being taken care of at times. I prefer a non-smoker, a non-or social drinker and absolutely no drugs. I am open to movies, games, “hanging out” at home as well as social outings.
